Your rights

With regard to your personal data, you have the following rights against us:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Right to withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about our processing of your personal data (Art. 77 GDPR).

Hosting and server log files

This website is served from a server that we operate ourselves. The machine is rented from IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, and stands in a data centre in Germany; IONOS provides the infrastructure as a processor within the meaning of Art. 28 GDPR. When you visit the site, the web server automatically records data that your browser transmits: the IP address, date and time of access, the requested resource, the referring page, and the browser and operating system used.

This data serves the technical delivery of the site, the assurance of stable and secure operation, and the prevention of abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and functional service (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The log files remain on that server under our control. They are not merged with other data, are not evaluated unless a fault or a security incident requires it, and are deleted automatically by log rotation. No data is transferred to a country outside the European Union.

Email contact

If you contact us by email, the personal data transmitted with the email (your email address, the content of your message) is stored and processed solely for handling your enquiry. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR); if the contact aims at concluding a contract, additionally Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose of its collection, that is, when the respective conversation has ended. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Local storage in your browser

So the site can remember your preferences, we store purely functional values in your browser's local storage (localStorage):

  • your chosen colour scheme (theme)
  • your decision on the analytics notice (stratara-consent)

These values remain on your device, are not transmitted to us or to third parties, and serve solely the function of the site. This is not tracking. No consent is required for this technically necessary storage; the legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a functional website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). You can delete the values at any time via your browser settings.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. It embeds no advertising networks. Only the localStorage values described above are stored, and only the analytics tool described below is loaded — and that one only with your consent.

Web analytics (Umami)

We use Umami on this website, a privacy-friendly open-source web-analytics tool. Umami is loaded only once you give your consent via the notice that appears on your first visit.

Umami collects no personal data and uses no cookies. Only anonymised, aggregated data is recorded, such as page views, visit duration, country of origin and device type. Identifying individual visitors is not possible.

The data is processed on servers of Umami Cloud (Umami Software, Inc.). Further information is in Umami's privacy policy.

The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future:

No third-party requests before you agree

Apart from the analytics described above, this site loads nothing from another host. Fonts, icons, diagrams, the search index and the status badges are all served from this site itself — the badges are committed images, refreshed when a release is cut, rather than hot-linked from a badge service. Until you accept the analytics notice, your browser therefore talks to nobody but this site's host.

This site contains links to external services, such as the source code on GitHub and the packages on nuget.org. By clicking them you leave this site. We have no influence on the data processing of the linked providers; their respective privacy policies apply.

SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the https:// in your browser's address bar.

Changes to this privacy policy

We will adapt this privacy policy whenever changes to the site or to the legal situation make it necessary. The current version published here always applies.
